Tucson here we come...

wait a second?!?!?!?! OK, yes we already live in Tucson! And yes we are staying here for the indefinite future!!! Daniel has been offered a full time job with a firm here in town. But to tell the whole story I should start back in January when the job hunt began. Due to the bad economy and the building industry being one of the hardest hit sectors we knew that finding a job would be a difficult and maybe daunting task. So, this January Daniel began the task of sending out feelers to companys throughout the country. As job postings arose he would apply and we would pray as a family and individually for guidance and help... this was the course of action through graduation with no prospects in sight. After graduation we decided to take a different course of action and ended up in San Diego for a month long job search. Daniel would set up meetings with companies (even those who did not have actual job postings) and see if he could work his way in. I would try and entertain the kids by going to the beach, park or swimming in G&G W's pool (I know I had the tough job!). By the end if this trip we were very hopeful. Two of the companies loved Daniel so much that they wanted to hire him, but did not have the funding to sustain a new employee though they thought by the end of the summer that would be changing. So we went home with a glimmer of hope that he could have a job by possibly September and we would be moving back to sunny SD. Our prayers were being answered, we thought. Through all of this he was still sending resumes to any and all job postings he could find online none of which were in Tucson. We felt that the job prospects here were all but a lost cause and had given up even a thought of living here. In fact if you were to of asked me what I thought the odds of us staying here were I would have told you one in a million. Oh how wrong I was. By the beginning of August it was evident that one of the two companies that wanted to hire Daniel when things got a little more stable could not find the funding to hire someone new. The other company was still hopeful, but it would not be until at least the end of October. And then we got the call... Daniel recieved a call from his Associate Dean at the U of A who told Daniel that a company here in town had called looking to hire someone temporarily and they wanted two people that could be recommended to interview. Daniel was one of those two. So he got in contact with the company and a few days later he had his interview. The interview went well, but at this point we were not counting our chickens before they hatched. Two days later they call to say he is hired and that they liked him so much they are going to look at their future cast to see if they can keep him on as a full time employee. We are thrilled. After three weeks of work Daniel received an offical offer of full time work. We of course accepted and are now looking for a bigger house to live in. Goodbye little blue and white mobile home! You have treated us well. We are greateful for the memories, but so ready to move on. And thus the end of our story and the beginning of our new "adult" lives here in the Old Pueblo!

Well you know we are extatic that Daniel has full time work! Although a job in San Diego would have been Lovely! I would love to be able to see them all more often. We miss the little ones smiles and laughter, and sure could use more baby Jacob time as well, but everything is good and we are so happy!
